About StarWords

StarWords is a learning app from Sprout & Star Studio that helps children practise Traditional Chinese characters, pronunciation, vocabulary, and review.

Information stored by the app

StarWords may store the following information locally on the user's device so the app can remember progress and settings:

• Child display name or nickname, if entered in Settings.
• Birthday, if entered, for optional in-app birthday features.
• Learning progress, including completed packs, chapters, streaks, quiz results, Tricky Words, and unlocked rewards.
• App preferences such as daily goal and mascot wardrobe choices.

Where data is stored

StarWords stores learning data on the device using local app or browser storage. Sprout & Star Studio does not operate a server that receives this learning data, and StarWords does not provide account login or cloud sync.

If a parent or user chooses to export progress, StarWords can create a progress file for backup or transfer. That file is controlled by the parent or user.

What we do not collect

StarWords does not collect location, contacts, photos, microphone recordings, camera access, advertising identifiers, payment card information, or device contacts.

Ads, tracking, and analytics

StarWords does not use third-party advertising, behavioural tracking, or third-party analytics. We do not sell personal data.

Children's privacy

StarWords is designed for children and family learning. We avoid unnecessary data collection and do not knowingly collect children's personal information for advertising or tracking.

Data sharing

Sprout & Star Studio does not sell StarWords user data and does not share children's personal information with advertisers or data brokers.
